Dear Ms. Davis,

I'm Audrey Fernandez. I go to school at High Tech Middle Media Arts. In class my teachers have been teaching me about renewable energy sources. First off I'd like to thank you for caring about natural beauty and how you want to preserve it. Also I'd like to thank you for wanting health care to be cheaper for others who can't pay for the essentials in life. People REALLY appreciate that.

So In class we're doing a project on global warming. We learned about non-renewable sources and renewable sources. We're building models for all the renewable energy sources. Such as wind, hydro power, biomass, and solar. Most non-renewable energy sources will run out in 500 years. If we don't get used to renewable energy sources then future generations will have a filthy future. Picture it. Would you want a dark filthy future. Or a world with clear blue skies and clear clouds?

The good things about renewable energy is they'll NEVER run out of them. Non-renewable energy sources will run out by the time our grandchildren or even great grandchildren are born. Even though it takes a lot of money to make the renewable energy power plants but it's worth having a clean earth. There going to lower the prices on solar panels when the non-renewable energy starts to run out.

Well when I was on the freeway i saw all the cars. mostly vans and trucks. NO HYBRIDS! None. And I saw most of these people were driving alone. "Why are they driving alone? Do they need to drive alone could they carpool? " I felt like some people don't even try to help the earth? Then in class my teacher said most adults know less than kids at my school. I really want people to know about this stuff. So think about it. Future generations in smog and dust? Or a clear blue sky filled with puffy clouds?

Dear Ms. Davis,
I'm Audrey Fernandez and I go to High Tech Middle Media Arts in Point Loma. I'm writing to introduce a legislation about Renewable Energy. First i'd like to thank you for help. Like how you cut down student loans. I bet that helped a LOT of people.

So here's the thing if we don't use renewable energy quick then the ozone will break and the earth will flood island places and shine harmful radiation at us. But if we do switch we could get the energy for free. Even though it takes a lot of space and money to build renewable power plants but it's worth it. Also if we use renewable energy it'll cost less money for companies to produce products WITHOUT polluting. We get most of our product from Asia such as rice and many toys from Hasbro. They'll pollute less and produce more.

FREAKS

People in the world think being a freak
Is just being different
In there own way

Is it being unique
Is it being yourself
Is it wierd

Is it just being friends to people you like
Is it having a crush

It's okay being a freak
It really is

Being a freak is being different. Just being weird. But to me being wierd is the best thing in the world. Uniqueness is the best thing. Don't be plastic, don't be scene, just be yourself

Star Testing Poem

In class I was doing testing. After I finished I wrote a poem it was very fun to write. Here it is.

What is life if you frown all day
Just care for one yet he doesn't like you the same
Don't be gloomy and don't you fret
Just move on
Have fun and forget

Freak the Mighty

Well I just started the book "Freak the Mighty". It's about a bully ( The Mighty) who meets a guy. He's sorta crippled. His nickname is "Freak". They met in daycare. Mighty would beat up all the small kids there. He was a tough kid. He liked to kick and punch all the kids as if they were plastic figures in his super hero set. He lives with his Grim and Gram. ( Grandma and Grandpa) Mighty's mom died. His dad isn't revealed. But Grim and Gram call Mighty's dad him. Freak's mom is " Gwen of Air". She's a beautiful brunette I'm predicting. Her name sounds so graceful. I really wanna get in detail more but all the characters haven't been described down to the spot. I wonder if Freak has a bone problem. Or is mentally challenged. Or if Mighty is actually friends with Freak. I'm predicting that Freak teaches Mighty about being gentle or something. Or maybe Mighty's dad is an alcoholic that Grim and Gram don't want Mighty around. Gwen of Air might be having a hard time with Mighty because his bullying. There's so many possibilities on what will happen.

OLDER VS. YOUNGER

Have you ever been Jealous of an older or younger sibling?

Well you just gotta understand the good of being your age! Like for instance when I was little I got lots of attention and got all of the toys. But I'm 11 now and have responsibilities. S here's what I think about OLDER vs. YOUNGER.


DADDY'S WITTLE GIRL
That's what I used to be. I would want to be in a big girl room and play dress up. I would have lots of toys and draw scribble flowers. But I would get really really jealous of my cousins because they got to do things like go to the movies and sleep at friends houses. I didn't think that was fair at all but I was little and know I understand.

MY YOUNG LADY
My grandma always says that ,"Your sister is one of many responsibilities darling". I actually get what she means. My mom trusts me because I can be responsible. And take care of my responsibilities. She trust me to go to the movies with my friends, sleep over at my friends, or even a simple thing like watch my little sister.


So that's what I think is the good and bad of OLDER vs. Younger

Aphrodite the Goddess of Beauty

Well there was a goddess, Aphrodite was her name. The daughter of Olympia and Poseidon. Earth and water. When she was born she was as beautiful as the sun hits the water before it sets. She loved to swim and the animals in the water. Except for the Sharks.

They are the devils of the sea. They steal food from innocent otters and kill whales for no reason. They hated Poseidon. He banished the sharks to the deep lands.

But one day Poseidon told Aphrodite to get deep water crabs they only come around at Summer. He told her to watch out for those sharks. There evil I tell you! She promised to be alert. The Sharks heard about Aphrodite coming in to the Deep Lands. So they created a diversion to kill her.

When she went down to the Deep Lands of course it was dark. She couldn't see anything. But the shark got her legs and tore them off of her body! But her fish friends gave there scales to her.They gave her a beautiful rainbow fin tail.

Weeks went by and Aphrodites parents got worried and Poseidon went to the beach to find her. But as he headed to the tidepools he saw a girl on the rocks. She was Aphrodite. BUt he didn't recognize her because she was half human half fish.

She called him and he said, " APHRODITE?!?!" "It's me daddy? They got me tore my legs! But the fish gave there scales to me and made me part fish. It's amazing!"
"Don't you want to change back?" Poseidon said. " I love being like this dad! My friends are here!" She said. "Well if that's what you want"Poseidon said.

AND THAT"S HOW THE MERMAID WAS CREATED!

Barrack Obama VS. Hillary Clinton

Well I read and article on Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. I learned the things they support.


Barrack is for-
*Only 40 miles per gallon at the most for a car.
*Changing to renewable energy
*Helping children with health care
*Stopping the war in Iraq

Hillary is for-
*More than 40 miles per gallon for a car
*Get back at Iraq
*Helping the U.S with health care


But some people can lure unaware citizens to vote for either if it's the truth or not.

Hey there!
Just catching up with my school blog. I can't really blog on the book because THEY SHIPPED THEM TO WISCONSIN!!!!!!!! It's like WHAT THE FUNK?!?!?!?! We live in SAN DIEGO !!! It's pretty weird. SOOOO I'll catch up with you for my classes enviromental conversation, poetry, and ancient greece!
